North Beach, Maryland
A beach town that sits right on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay
While many people in the DMV tend to travel to either Delaware or the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia to spend a week in a beach town, there are closer alternatives for those who want to undergo a summer swim but are too cash-strapped to travel far away. One such alternative is North Beach, which is a beach town that is located right on the Chesapeake Bay. While it’s small compared to Ocean City or Rehoboth Beach, it has enough amenities to make a nice day trip. There are places to eat, locally-owned stores, and you can take a dip into the Chesapeake Bay to cool off from the hot summer sun.
