This lesser-known attraction is important to me on a personal level because I knew all four people who are honored there—Esther Webb, Bert Donn, Bob Auerbach, and Doug Love. They were all decades older than me and they spent the bulk of their retired lives actively working as volunteers for various issues related to peace and justice. They were members of local organizations who were heavy into volunteer work while most of their retired contemporaries were content to just stay home and not get involved in anything unless it directly affected them on a personal level. Three of them lived into their 90s and all of them had literally continued in their activism until they died within a few years of each other (between 2009 and 2013).
By that point TikTok began to allow videos that are up to 10 minutes in length, which was an even greater relief for me. While most of my travel videos are relatively short, it was nice to know that I could have that luxury of making longer videos if I wanted to. It was definitely an improvement over the days when I had to keep TikTok videos to under one minute and I would stress myself out with trying to edit the video while hoping that I could still tell a coherent story with the cuts.
This video has a total runtime of a little over 3:10 and it was first uploaded online on November 25, 2022. Here are the two formats of my same video. Pick the one that suits you the best.
Horizontal video (for computer monitors and TV sets)
Vertical video (for smartphones and other mobile devices)
